ballet syllabus

Our Ballet Program provides a clear and structured foundation for every dancer’s journey. Guided by the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet (ACB) framework, our program is designed to develop strong technique, confidence, and a genuine love for ballet.

Ballet ACB Syllabus

Our ballet program follows the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet (ACB) Syllabus, a thoughtfully structured training system designed to nurture strong, confident, and technically sound dancers.

The ACB syllabus provides a progressive pathway for ballerinas of all ages and levels, focusing on:

Correct technique and alignment

Musicality and artistry

Strength, flexibility, and control

Performance quality and confidence

Each level builds upon the last, allowing students to develop at a steady and supportive pace while gaining a deep understanding of classical ballet foundations.

Ballet Exams

For students who choose to participate, ballet exams are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their progress and training.

Through the ACB examination system, students:

Work towards clear goals within their level

Develop discipline, focus, and resilience

Gain performance experience in a structured setting

Receive formal feedback and recognition of their achievements

Exams are approached in a supportive and encouraging environment, ensuring every dancer feels prepared and confident. While participation is optional, we highly encourage students to take part as it can be an incredibly rewarding milestone in their dance journey.

practice at home

To get the most out of their training, we strongly encourage our ballerinas to practice at home. Consistent practice helps reinforce what is learned in class, builds muscle memory, and boosts confidence.

Even short, regular sessions can make a big difference—whether it’s revising exercises, practicing positions, or simply moving to the music. of classical ballet foundations.

Resources for Students & Families

To support learning beyond the studio, we’ve provided helpful resources below.

Music tracks, syllabus videos, and theory guides are available to help students practice, revise, and deepen their understanding at home.
