Performance Troupe
Performance Troupe is one of our Specialty Programs and provides students with invaluable performance opportunities!
What is Troupe?
Troupe is for students looking to further excel their skills as a dancer. It provides more opportunities for students to perform as the class is completely chorography based and students in troupe will learn dance routines in a range of styles that they can showcase at local events and competitions. Not only does Troupe give students more performance opportunities but it is also a fantastic way for students to work as a team, building a strong bond with their fellow dancers.
What is Required of Troupe Students?
Troupe students are expected to have good attendance records, a high skill level and a great attitude in class each week. It is a privilege to be a part of the performance troupe and there are higher expectations placed on these students to represent the dance studio in a positive manner.
All Performance Troupe Students must:
- Be attending 2x technical classes each week:
- Ballet
- Along with one other chosen class (Lyrical, Jazz or Acrobatics)
Troupe classes focus on high level routines so it is imperative that all troupe students are attending additional classes each week to continually develop as a dancer.
Troupe classes cost $22 per lesson, this includes all costume hire fees as well as eisteddfod entrance fees.
What are the benefits for Troupe Students?
In addition to more performance opportunities and the ability to quickly advance their skills to a high level all troupe students are given exclusive discounts for uniforms and classes, first preference at workshops and ongoing support from their teachers in the form of private lessons and at home practice plans to further improve their strength, flexibility and technical training.
