Each year EPA Dance students work for many months preparing for the end of year show.
It is the highlight of the year and gives students an invaluable opportunity to perform onstage in front of a large audience.
Our Students under the age of 6 perform in our Preschool Show whilst all other students perform in our Main Shows.
Sunday 19th November – BUNGENDORE Dress Rehearsal
Sunday 26th November – GOOGONG/QBN Dress Rehearsal
Friday 8th December – Tech Run + Filming (Senior Students Only)
Saturday 9th December – BUNGENDORE Concert Day (no Preschool Students required)
Sunday 10th December MORNING – Preschool Show (All Preschool Students Bungendore, Googong and Queanbeyan)
Sunday 10th December – GOOGONG/QBN Concert Day
**Please note, The Preschool Show may fall on a different day to what is listed above. We are still planning the Concert and will communicate this info to families as soon as we are able!
This concert is for all of our younger students. The show has less commitments, shorter rehearsals and students perform in the morning then get to go home!
Students will still have the opportunity to wear their costumes and perform onstage to the audience and we also
get this show professionally filmed and photographed for some beautiful lasting memories of your tiny performer.
Parents are able to remain with their child backstage until it is their time to perform where our dedicated parent helpers and teachers will be able to assist each group.
Will my child be required to wear makeup?
All students in our Preschool Show may choose to wear blush, lipstick and mascara to ensure we can see their smiles shine bright on stage.
Are there extra costs associated with this show?
Yes, students will be required to purchase a costume and anyone who intends to watch the show will need to purchase a ticket. All students will also require a concert pack that includes their concert t-shirt, video recording, all photos from the live concert and the fee for extra rehearsals.
At the end of each year, EPA Dance produces a professionally presented concert. The concert is held at Erindale Theatre Wanniassa. We encourage all of our students to participate in the show as it is an amazing opportunity to perform on stage in front of family and friends. It is however not mandatory and we ask all students to let up know by the start of Term 3 if they will not be performing so that a costume is not ordered for them. All students in our Main show will be required to participate in our Dress Rehearsal and Photo day as well as a tech rehearsal at the theatre. Certain classes may be required for additional Sunday rehearsals leading up to the show and this will be communicated to parents by the start of Term 4.
Can I come backstage with my child?
Only volunteer parent helpers are permitted to enter the backstage area. All other parents must drop off and pick up children via the stage door.
Will my child need to be at the Dress Rehearsal and Concert all day?
No, not all students will be required to stay at the Dress Rehearsal and Concert all day however it is best to keep the whole day free. Call times for each class will not be finalized until closer to the concert date.
What Hair and Makeup does my child need?
Students will require stage makeup and have a set hairstyle for their class. All the details plus a video tutorial will be sent to parent closer to the Dress Rehearsal and Concert date!
